To assume that only a therapist can help with anger is wrong.
A lot of men I see desire to be free from anger. In actually, the deeper we work together, they actually want to be free from the disruptive outcomes of anger. Anger is an amazing emotion that can be helpful in many ways, but it has been seen as ruling or domineering or destructive in so many other.
I find the men I work with are far more courageous than they initially give themselves credit for. Just imagine coming into a coach’s office because you have lost your temper or this foreign emotion is beginning to take over your life or you have hit a member of your family. Now, you’re telling you story in a choppy manner to this individual who is ‘supposed’ to help you.
Not broken and not needing to be fixed.
