Inspired to Serve

I find inspiration in being of service to people. I have over 20 years of experience in mentoring and coaching for individuals and couples of all walks of life! In an effort to be a competent coach I strive to learn and challenge myself to grow as a person. Bridging communication gaps between couples and helping men to find their voice, inspires me to continually grow as an individual. My goal is to help couples and individuals learn how to connect and sidestep the dangerous spiral of negative communication.

A Life
well-Travelled

My journey spans from all across the globe andn continental United States. Much of my adult life has been serving my country in the Air Force. My experience in the Air Force afforded me the opportunity to counsel young men and women in their lowest dire times of life. I’ve supported families who lost loved ones due to conflict and families who lost loved ones to suicide. This, coupled with my own attempts at reintegrating with my family post deployments, left me wondering how we as a country can better serve veterans like me and my family.

While in the United States Air Force, I was afforded the opportunity to travel across the world. This experience has afforded me the opportunity many are not exposed to; culture. An understanding of numerous cultures and a way to live among these cultures. One of the joys of life for me and my family is to travel, meet the people, and taste their food.

Along my journey, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate University, with an emphasis in depth psychology. While at Pacifica, I studied the deeply rooted patterning of absent fathering and how our young boys and girls are often left abandoned by one parent or another or both. This abandonment takes place both physically and psychologically. My work with young men and women fosters understanding and awareness through which children and adults respond to the world and how they might perceive an experience. I specialize in helping men identify their early father wounding, as well as helping these men connect to their spouse or partner through couple’s counseling. I enjoy spending much of my free time with my family, my dogs, blogging, camping, hiking, and many other outdoor activities. Currently, my wife and I are embarking on another journey: RVing across the country.
